Language Recruitment Services (LRS) are currently recruiting for a German Speaking Business Development Manager to work for their client, a well established energy company with offices across Europe. You will be reporting to the Commercial Director. This is a position with a considerable amount of responsibility, so you will need to be experienced, proactive and efficient with the ability to use initiative; your duties will be varied and interesting and will include the following:
Main Duties:
- Managing business development of the company's services, trading desk and events to the customer base within the German and UK regions
- Developing prospect base through research and building relationships via workshops and conferences
- Supporting Seniors as well as independently managing in business development of major European energy users with headquarters based in Germany
- Develop knowledge of the industry, the company's services and market to achieve monthly sales targets
- Maintaining and managing the database and accounts
- Identify significant sales opportunities and ensure all sales opportunities are effectively followed up
- Account management of existing customer base to ensure renewal of contract agreements
- Supporting Sales and Marketing campaigns, visiting and working closely together with clients across Germany
Requirements:
- Excellent English and German language skills (both written and verbal),
- A business related degree or equivalent would be preferable.
- Experience in business development and relationship management within energy industry
- A thorough and proven understanding of electricity and gas procurement mechanisms and project management methodology
- Excellent communication skills and presentation skills
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft software (Excel advanced)
- Able to work under pressure, on deadlines, target-driven
- A proven and successful record in general and people management with understanding of complex processes, markets and systems
