The Google Technical Services (gTech) team serves as the primary point of contact for our global Sales, Business Development, and Partnerships teams to support our sales organization across all products. We provide tools so that our sales teams can focus on generating revenue and leverage our strong relationships with Googles Tech teams to enable our sales organization to do multi-solution selling, launch and support new products, and help and engage our users.
The role: Media Manager, YouTube
The Media Manager YouTube plays a vital, detail-oriented, post-sales support role. Specifically, you'll focus on the operations, client services and technical aspects of actual media campaigns while assisting with the business development and internal Sales operational needs. This includes providing quality assurance, trafficking, external client- and creative agency meetings or calls, pulling campaign placement reports and reviewing the status of campaigns in order to optimize their performance. Additionally, you'll troubleshoot and resolve site and advertiser issues, requiring you to handle sales with grace and confidence while working closely with the engineering and internal operations teams. Patient, adaptable and dedicated, you also possess great time-management skills and the ability to develop strong relationships with internal partnership clients.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain relationships with internal strategic partner teams.
* Proven track record of client services and client management.
* Book, track, optimize and report on media campaigns using Dart for Publishers (DFP). Prepare the HTML code for advertisements.
* Support and interface with internal Google business development teams.
* Serve as the central resource for successful campaign management, as well as consult on ad policies and compliance questions.
Minimum qualifications:
* BA/BS degree. In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience.
Preferred qualifications:
* Proven experience, in the advertising industry focusing on sales and/or client services.
* Strong understanding of HTML, JavaScript and rich media/Flash banner functionalities.
* Experience using an ad server and working with third-party creative tags such as for example DoubleClick, Atlas and Mediaplex.
* Strong communication and client-servicing skills.
* Occasional travel to other Google offices may be necessary.
