usiness Application Specialist – English Fluent –Position based in Switzerland (Canton de Neuchatel)
JOB MISSION
The Business Application Specialist - Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Knowledge Management Systems (KMS)- implements, manages and improves our knowledge, learning and quality management systems that ensure optimal workflows and delivery of knowledge to customer facing target groups including indirect sales partners.
Will be the single point of contact for all stakeholders regarding all systems and processes linked to Knowledge-, Learning- and Quality Management applications. Will be responsible to propose solutions and consult to Business owners for all issues, projects or other questions that concern these systems.
Will propose and lead projects targeting the above mentioned applications in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Knowledge Management Systems (KMS).
KEY TASKS
Technical Support (80%):
The Business Application Specialist will have the technical responsibility for the system. Will serve as the technical point of contact for daily system operation, permissions and processes, as well as provide technical support to all user types. Will provide support to Project Managers and Educational Instructors.
Will establish, maintain and develop a state-of-the-art KMS / LMS and Qualiyt Management System that ensures that the target groups (employees in Customer Care, Sales, Enterprise and employees from Indirect Sales Partner) find easily, relevant and easy to understand information related to all types of customer questions.
Continuously evaluate the system and advocate for upgrades as appropriate, as well as design and oversee new system implementation strategies
Establish exceptionally lean and reliable content import and maintenance processes, as well as partner with our Documentation & Training Development group to optimize content organization and delivery across platforms and domains
Assist and train instructional designers, content developers and Project Managers on how use the system and to load, manage, schedule and track various content types
Develop, implement and maintain LMS / KMS / Quality standards and related documentation including process flows, desk procedures, and training materials for internal staff (operations & education)
Responsible for the release management: in close cooperation with the IT and the KMS provider, define the functional specifications, align the specifications with your stakeholders, test, train the users (if needed) and communicate new features.
Steer the application provider(s): negotiate commercial offers and SLAs, align functional specifications, define the working tools etc.
Create and update workflow and create test scripts to validate functionality
Project Management (20%):
Initiation, Requirements and Scope
Collection, Initiation and Validation of business requirements and definition of project scope, in accordance and negotiation with the stakeholders, service Managers and Business Process Analysts. Propose and set up appropriate project phasing
Plan and control time and resources
Manage Business Case
Manage the quality of the project
Manage Risks & Issues
Project Communications Management
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor`s degree in computer technology, training development, or instructional systems design preferred
- Experience with implementing new LMS / KMS, Quality Management Systems
Ability to manage projects around LMS / KMS, Quality Management enhancements
- Experience conducting meetings and managing action items
- Experience with customer support
- Project Management training and methodology
- Fluent in English
- German and French are an asset.
- Prior experience with a training company is a plus
- Publishing courseware using e-learning standards such as SCORM and AICC a plus
- Knowledge of Project / Program Management methodology, Quality Management and Business Administration.

The Application Specialist must be able to work under high stress due to tight timeline and commercial pressure. He/She is willing and able to find solution by himself under his project autonomy with no management supervision.
