SRGEurope are recruiting a RAN engineer for a well established Telecommunications company based and operating in Gibraltar. This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who is looking for a challenging "hands on" career move that will expose you to all aspects of the telecommunications network system. You will be an integral part of the team.
The right candidate will have the following skills:
* Experience working with WCDMA RAN Network elements (RNC, NodeB, Huawei) experience with both rollout, planning & optimization.
* Previous responsibilities for RAN products including RNC and NodeB commissioning, integration, testing and troubleshooting.
* Familiarity with FTP, S-FTP, Unix, Moshell.
* Experience performing upgrades, routine inspections, and system diagnostics for the live network
* Knowledge of 3GPP UMTS/​HSDPA/​HSUPA/​HSPA+​ protocol and familiar with
layer 3 air interface messages
* An understanding of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
* Working experience of optimizing the network to improve KPIs
Desired attributes are:
* Strong analytical skills in a wireless technical environment
* Experience with RNC script development, RAN datafill and M2000 is an asset
* Basic WCDMA Training and understanding of WRAN Architecture, Protocols & Procedures.
* Knowledge of 3G network architecture elements and protocols (TCP/IP, ATM, SS7, etc).
* Ability to develop and prepare technical documents.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
