The Role:

Bloomberg News is seeking an experienced reporter to cover Germany's energy industry and break news on the country's largest utilities and the broader energy market. The successful candidate must be a self-starter and have proven experience reporting for a news service or newspaper as well as be able to write accurately and clearly under deadline pressure.

The role will be based in Dusseldorf, and will also involve building contacts and representing Bloomberg News at local events and networking locally. The candidate will have an understanding of the city's and region's role in Germany's industrial heartland and be able to write enterprise stories and features to deadline.

Qualifications:

--Experience of financial journalism is essential.
--Fluency in German and English is essential.
--Experience of covering the energy industry is preferred.
