The Role :

Bloomberg News is seeking an experienced reporter to cover the European Central Bank and the German economy in Frankfurt. The successful candidate, who'll join Bloomberg's Western Europe economy team, will be able to both break news and write analysis about the ECB and German economy. He or she will work with our ECB team in Frankfurt and cooperate with colleagues in bureaus across the euro region. The position will involve travel across the continent.

Requirements:

- A bachelor's degree in economics, a journalism qualification, or equivalent work experience is desirable.
- Financial journalism experience is required.
- Experience of working in a real-time news environment is desirable.
- Understanding / experience of the European Central Banking system and the German Economy is essential.
- Fluency in English and German is essential.
