SEC is seeking a Head of SAS programming to join an international pharmaceutical company with strong growth potential based in Germany. This position is a permanent role offering the opportunity to manage, develop and grow an international team of programmers. For more information please contact Louise Beka
As a Head of SAS programming, you will:
• Manage, develop and grow a team of programmers including SAS Programmers, IT programmers and Data Managers
• Ensure a timely, high quality and cost-effective SAS programming service for the statistical reporting of clinical studies
• Supervise direct, motivate, and oversight statistical programming resources (internal and external) for timely delivery of all statistical programming deliverables
• Train, supervise, and measure performance of staff
• Plan, acquire, and manage resources within budgets and timelines
• Lead and supervise development and rollout of new standards and processes with respect to all statistical programming activities
• Provide manpower estimations and staffing plans
• Provide a flexible contract resource pool and achieve efficiencies with effective management
of flexible contract resources
• Direct and supervise management of programming standards
• Develop and implement new or revised statistical programming standards and processes
• Develop global training material and quality standards/procedures
• Ensure development and adherence to programming and company SOP’s
• Manage Human Resources and budget of the global department
Ideally, you will have the following profile:
• MSC/PhD in Computer Sciences, Statistics, Mathematics or equivalent
• 10+ years experience in statistical/SAS programming or statistics within a pharmaceutical company, a CRO or a Biotechnology
• Work experience gained in an international/multicultural environment
• Excellent knowledge of SAS programming within the pharmaceutical environment
• Solid knowledge of guidelines in the pharmaceutical industry
• Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, management and conflict management skills
• Strong knowledge in modeling and simulation techniques
• Fluent in English (written and spoken at a business level)
