E3 Recruitment Management are working with a leading translation company established in 1987 who employ over 150 full-time staff at their offices in Cambridge, Barcelona, Montpellier, Munich, Bologna and Brno. Due to our continued success and growth the company now require a Team Leader for the companies German Translation team in Munich, Germany.
Job Specification:
- Lead a small team of German translators
- Liaise with the companies PMs and handle incoming requests from the various company offices
- Allocate the incoming work to the team members
- Supervise and support the team
- Act as the lead translator on important/prestigious projects
- Assist with recruitment of new translators
- Induce new recruits
- Supervise interns
- Report to Director of HR in Cambridge
Person Specification:
- Degree in Translation (or Germanistik or Journalistik)
- Min. 7 years professional experience as a translator, preferably in localization
- Excellent language skills in German (capable of translating stylistically demanding materials such as marketing)
- Experience revising and polishing other translator’s output
- Some experience leading or coordinating a small team
- Commercial awareness (perhaps project management experience or similar)
