The role: Policy Associate
A great opportunity exists for bright, well-organized and spirited individuals to work with a stellar team on cutting edge technology issues. You will handle our various product agendas with policy makers inside and outside government. In addition, you will help advise our product and engineering teams on the public policy implications of their products, working with a closely coordinated and cross-functional global team. The role requires significant experience either working with or in government, politics or a regulatory agency as well as an ability to grasp complex technical and policy issues.






Responsibilities:

* Support the wider Public Policy and Government Relations team, including research and organizing events and executive visits.
* Assist in the preparation of presentations, briefing materials, correspondence, etc.
* Perform a comprehensive array of administrative tasks (manage calendars, book travel, and schedule facilities and equipment).





Minimum qualifications:

* Bachelors degree or equivalent with a strong academic record.
* Exceptional analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.





Preferred qualifications:

* Strong organizational skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail while handling multiple, simultaneous projects under deadline pressure
* Strong team player, willing to jump in and help on projects at short notice.
* Ability to handle confidential information.
* Self starter with a sense of humor.
* Will consider candidates straight out of college or university but some work experience in a fast paced not for profit, company or trade association would be preferable.
