An energetic and growing international publishing company based in Wallington, Surrey is looking for the right person. We focus on water resources development and renewable energy.
The company’s portfolio includes a well respected bi-monthly journal, an annual publication, sponsored technical maps and posters, an annual large international conference and exhibition based in Europe, a smaller biennial regional conference and exhibition in Asia, and a web site with a number of new features currently under development.
The role will require joining a team to assist with the sale of: display and classified advertising in the journal and annual publication; sponsorship boxes on posters and maps; exhibition space and sponsorship of items or activities during the conferences; banner advertising on the newly upgraded website. The work will also involve some administration, data mining and database maintenance.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone wishing to engage on a wide variety of tasks.
Essential will be: some experience in media sales; sociable personality; an aptitude for communicating well with clients in all parts of the world; an organized approach to administration; willingness to travel; competence with the usual software packages; initiative and flexibility to be a team player. Good level of written and spoken English is necessary.
Knowledge of one or more foreign languages would be an advantage but not essential, in particular Portuguese or Asian languages (Chinese, Japanese, Indonesian).
