Language Connect is a rapidly growing language services agency and has doubled in size in the past 12 months. We are currently looking for an experienced sales professional with an entrepreneurial spirit who can play a core part of the company’s business development in German-speaking markets.

We are seeking candidates with an industry focus and extensive networking contacts who can help us expand our current sectors (research, leisure) or take us into a new sector where we believe that there is a significant market for our services.

The role will involve close liaison with the German Operations Manager who is based in Munich.
This will be a home working role; thus, it will suit individuals with advanced IT skills who are able to work under their own initiative.

They must also be prepared to travel up to several times a month to visit industry events and clients in other German cities and markets (e.g. Netherlands, Belgium, Austria).

JOB DUTIES
Summary: Conducting outbound sales activities to win new client business and develop existing accounts.
MAIN TASKS
1. Creating and implementing vertical-specific sales campaigns to promote and sell our language services to new clients.
2. Cross and up-selling our services to develop existing client accounts in specific verticals.
3. Preparing, writing and presenting responses to RFQs/RFPs.
4. Discussing project specifications in detail with prospects/clients to produce accurate quotations.
5. Representing the company at exhibitions and conferences.
6. Working closely with the Online Marketing Executive to integrate sales and marketing activities to produce consistent brand marketing communications.
7. Working closely with the Project Management and Finance team to ensure smooth processing of projects through to completion in accordance with the client’s requirements.
8. Being a sales evangelist and leader in the business. Pro-actively promoting a sales and marketing ethos amongst colleagues in all functions of the company.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE FOR THE POSITION

 Minimum of 1 year business development experience in an SME.
 Ideally, some time spent training in a large multinational corporate.
 International client exposure, working across markets and cultures.
 Experience working with language services as a vendor or a client.
 Native or near native German speaker with business level English, a third language is advantageous (Turkish is particularly desirable).
 Work experience in any of the following sectors: market research, international branding, media, PR, publishing or design, travel, hotels and leisure, web and IT, education, auto, HR and international training, public sector.
 Training and/or prior experience in SPIN or CCS sales methodologies.
 Knowledge/experience of using online CRM and/or ERP software.
The selection process will be conducted from our London office in cooperation with our Operations Team in Munich.
